Leak Detection
Losing an inch of water a day is not evaporation. We pressure-test the plumbing, check the shell, skimmer, light niches, and equipment pad, and find where the water is actually going before anyone starts digging. Then we fix it and verify the pool holds.

What you actually get.
- Evaporation vs. leak verification
- Plumbing pressure testing
- Shell, tile, and skimmer inspection
- Light niche and fitting checks
- Equipment pad leak diagnosis
- Repair and re-test
Leak Detection questions.
How do I know if my pool has a leak?
If you are losing more than about a quarter inch of water a day with normal Texas heat, or the water drops faster with the pump running, that points to a leak rather than evaporation. A wet spot in the yard, a sinking deck, or air in the pump basket are stronger signs.
Where do pool leaks usually happen?
Most often at the skimmer throat, around light niches and return fittings, in the plumbing underground, or at the equipment pad. The shell and tile line are the next most common.
Can a leak be fixed without tearing up the deck?
Often, yes. Skimmer, fitting, and equipment leaks are usually repairable in place. Underground plumbing leaks sometimes need a targeted dig, and we mark the spot first so the cut is small.
Will a leak get worse if I wait?
Yes. Water loss drops the level below the skimmer, the pump starts pulling air, and that can burn up a motor. A small leak is a cheap fix; a burned pump is not.
